Telecommunication Construction

Work Completed:

  • Placed strand, COAX and fiber into the new pole.
  • Spliced in the various COAX equipment
  • Mid Split
  • Node Split
  • Node Activation
  • Sweep and Balance

Overview:

Our team of highly skilled technicians has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the telecommunication industry. Our construction expertise allows us to handle a multitude of projects of all different scopes. From new telecommunication sites, maintenance of preexisting structures to damage assessment and repairs. We strive to make the work as efficient as possible and implement the project. Our well versed team and project managers are able to properly design, engineer, and execute the project – we are the team that will survey the site, the team that will envision the appropriate design and needs of the finished product, and the team that will oversee and execute the construction. In doing so, TACC can ensure that your project is well designed, expertly executed, and meet the SLA on time.

The team’s teamwork, camaraderie and positive attitude together with their professionalism helped the crew complete the project and exceeded the customer’s expectations.

Wiring and Equipment Installation

Work Completed:

  • Installation of ARRIS E6000 CMTS
  • Upstream and downstream wiring into existing narrowcast and return combining.
  • Insert proper attenuation for desired levels for balancing of both upstream and downstream.
  • Assist in the design of inside plant with customer request.

Overview:

The customer has acquired other small cable companies and needed to upgrade their CMTS equipment along with the supporting infrastructure.  The customer provided documentation and design and are implemented by our inside plant technicians with 20+ experience. In addition, labeling is paramount with every job and was completed with efficiency and quality.  CMTS installations include Arris E6000 and Casa 100G chassis along with the various legacy products.

Survey/Design Validation/Walkout

Work Completed:

3 stages of design validation were enforced:

  1. Fiber node location placement validation
  2. Current network build validation to include coax and fiber
  3. Proposed child node network validation

Overview:

The goal of a site survey is for the fielder to gain a full understanding of the project site layout. This knowledge is critical for formulating an installation plan for a project of any magnitude. Accurate site surveys can help you determine the feasibility of an installation, budgetary constraints, and whether there is a requirement for specialty tools or supplies. Through TACC’s experienced project management team, we can assist you in not only writing a functional survey, but also documenting and compiling the results in an organized manner. Our professionals will be onsite to gather the critical data needed to start formulating a plan around the services needed to get the job site up and running. TACC Team perform site surveys for ISP, OSP, Headend, Hub sites, offices, educational facilities, residential buildings, industrial plants and more. Whether a network uses copper lines, fiber-optic cable, coax runs, or even wireless systems, we are ready to get the job done right.

The customer required an accurate survey of their entire network to catalogue into prints for node splits and network expansion. The team performed field analysis on the customer’s design. There were three stages the team has to follow in order to complete the work. The three stages of design validation that was applied to this project are:  1. HFC node location placement validation;  2. Current network build validation for fiber and coax; and,  3. Proposed child node network validation. The team worked closely with the customer’s evolving needs to deliver the content which ensured the re-design was smooth and efficient

Small Cell Construction

Work Completed:

  • Installed small cells
  • Troubleshooting
  • Call testing, ATP and E911 calls

Overview:

The customer’s goal is to relieve congestion in the cellular network.

The small cell hardware and equipment are in aerial coax locations installed by experienced outside plant technicians. Troubleshooting of the installed small cell follows to ensure the quality of work.

In addition, the team validates the design and map; install the equipment according to the requirements; performance of call testing; and, provide close out documentation. The team provides efficient logistics and routing to save resources, like time and gas. This helped in the cost-effective operations and the prompt delivery of the work. Installation, quality inspection, and performance call testing are part of what we do. Lastly, daily activity report and forecast is part of our communications to the customer to keep them abreast on the progress of the project.
